SWING Project Workshop in Rome
On April 1st, Sapienza University hosted
an official meeting of the SWING Project in Rome.
This was a great opportunity
to discuss progress, share new ideas,
and strengthen collaboration within the team and with PA representatives.

SWING at IRSPM 2025 – Bologna
The SWING research team participated in the International Research Society for Public Management (IRSPM) Conference 2025, held in Bologna from April 7–9.
We presented preliminary findings from the PRIN project “Hell, Purgatory, or Paradise? Institutionalising Smart Working in Governments (SWING)”, contributing to the international dialogue on digital transformation and smart working in the public sector.
Accounting & Finance Research Conference 2025 “Driving the SDGs: A Decade of Action for a Sustainable Future”
On 10 June 2025, the SWING researchers C. Morrone, A. Cosentino, S. Principale, from La Sapienza University in Rome, presented the paper “Remote working and Institutional Trust: Lessons from a Municipality”
XII Azienda Pubblica Workshop – Rome
On june 12-13 2025 the SWING research team will participate to the XII Azienda Pubblica Workshop, titled PA in the digital era: upcoming technologies, social impact and sustainability. Azienda Pubblica is one of the leading PA peer reviewed journals in Italy with publications in italian and english.

On february 9-10 2026 two papers from the SWING project researchers will be presented at the PUBSIC Conference at Corvinus University in Budapest, Hungary: “The Co- Between Presence And Absence In Public Services: Reshaping Co-Production And Competences Through Smart Working” and “Cognitive Infrastructures In Public Administration: A Framework For Institutional Sensemaking Under Technological Disruption”.
